Planes, Trains & Automobiles: Machine-Age America is a group exhibition which includes paintings, works on paper, photographs, and sculpture that explore the influence of the industrial age. As the landscape of America was changing with industrialization, so was the language of American artists; Geometric symbols began to represent structural essences and contain infinite possibilities of change and dynamics.
